The terms governing your use of the uStepper website and products.

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.ustepper.com (the "Website") and the purchase of products from uStepper ApS ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must stop using the Website.

If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal use), these Terms do not affect your mandatory rights under Danish consumer law (Købeloven, Forbrugeraftaleloven) or EU law.

3. Orders and Payment

When you place an order through our Website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion.

Payment is processed through PayPal or other payment providers displayed at checkout. Credit card details are collected and processed by the payment provider; we do not store credit card information on our servers.

4. Pricing and VAT

All prices are listed in EUR (Euro) excluding VAT unless otherwise stated. Danish VAT (25%) will be added for customers within the EU who are not VAT-registered businesses. If you are a non-DK VAT-registered business within the EU, please contact us to arrange reverse-charge VAT.

Request for refund of VAT on completed orders may incur a 30 EUR administrative fee.

5. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you receive your goods, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Danish law. Full details, including the model withdrawal form and return instructions, are available in our Return & Refund Policy.

6. Warranty and Defective Goods

Danish law provides a 2-year warranty (reklamationsret) for defective goods. Within the first year, any defect is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  1. For consumers: Our liability is governed by applicable Danish consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  2. For business customers: The Website and products are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss (including loss of business, opportunity, data, or profits) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website or products.
  3. We make no warranty that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. You are responsible for implementing your own virus protection.
  4. uStepper ApS cannot be held responsible for damage inflicted upon mounting or interfacing with the uStepper board, including damage to stepper motors or any third-party hardware. You assume all risk associated with installation and use of our products.
  5. By using uStepper products, you acknowledge that uStepper ApS cannot be held responsible for personal injuries or damage to third-party hardware that may occur when using our products.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold uStepper ApS and its employees harmless from and against all liabilities, legal fees, damages, losses, and costs arising out of any breach by you of these Terms or your use of the Website or products.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and software, is the property of uStepper ApS or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may access the content solely for personal, non-commercial use. No content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold, or distributed without our prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or availability of such sites and do not endorse them.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. For material changes affecting consumers, we will provide notice via email or a prominent website notice.

12. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a product or service, please contact us at contact@ustepper.com. We will respond within 14 days.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may submit it to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution (Center for Klageløsning):

13. Severance

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. For consumers, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. For business customers, the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts applies.
