The uStepper Linear Actuator kit gives you a 450 mm actuator (extruded aluminium part length) with 400 mm of travel for the M8 and ~410 mm of travel for the T8x8. It is tested to pull 12 Kg horizontally without any trouble (M8 version).
With the M8 lead screw version you get higher torque, lower speed and an actuator that is better at holding its load without power on the stepper motor. On the T8 lead screw version you get smoother operation and more speed while sacrificing a bit of torque and reducing the ability to hold loads without power on the stepper motor.
The T8 version has 8 mm of travel per revolution and the M8 1.25 mm
